Climate Security on the Frontline: From Ukraine’s Recovery to Global Resilience

13. November 2026
16:00 – 17:00
Ukraine Pavilion

Russia’s war against Ukraine has exposed how conflict, climate change, environmental damage and energy insecurity compound one another. Ukraine is also developing practical responses, from war-related greenhouse gas accounting and environmental monitoring to decentralised energy, recovery planning andl accountability pathways.

This Ukraine Pavilion event places those lessons in dialogue with the Pacific, Mediterranean and Black Sea, South Africa, and the EU/Baltic region. Speakers will examine how accountability, anticipatory governance, resilience finance, just transition and cross-border cooperation can turn compound risk into action under the Paris Agreement. The session will identify transferable approaches for preparedness, recovery and cooperation towards COP32.
