A Record-Breaking Number of Over 70 Events to Take Place at the Ukraine Pavilion at COP31 This Year

The UN Climate Change Conference begins on November 9 in Antalya, Türkiye. For the fifth time, Ukraine will host its own pavilion, where it will organize a record-breaking number of over 70 events over the course of two weeks.

The concept for this year’s pavilion is “Ukraine is the Solution.” It focuses on practical proposals and a readiness to provide services and expertise to partners in areas such as crisis management for climate policy, energy protection and decentralization, agriculture during wartime, and humanitarian demining of land and water territories.

Participants in these events will include Ukrainian and foreign ministers, members of the U.S. Congress, representatives from international organizations and heads of delegations from various countries.

Key discussion topics will include Ukraine’s climate resilience, green industrialization and energy decentralization, addressing the consequences of Russian aggression and cross-border ecocide, the protection of the environment and water bodies – specifically the Black Sea, nuclear safety in the context of the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster and the 30th anniversary of the Akademik Vernadsky Research Base.

The opening ceremony for the Ukraine pavilion is scheduled for November 11 at 18:30 (Türkiye).

Further details regarding the schedule of events at the Ukrainian pavilion can be found in the dedicated section on the Ukraine at COP31 website.

COP is the year’s largest international climate event, bringing together world leaders, key players from the environmental, energy, economic, and financial sectors, representatives of major multinational corporations, scientists, innovators, and leaders. It features numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings, presentations of industry innovations, and an exchange of views and experience among stakeholders at all levels – all accompanied by tens of thousands of attendees and two weeks of global media attention.
